August 13th Ceilidh

The sixth ceilidh of the Chestico Museum’s summer ceilidh series was held at the museum on August 13th.   Our entertainment for the evening was Andrea Beaton on fiddle accompanied by Kevin Chaisson on keyboard, Nancy Hilton and Andrea Currie on guitar and vocals and Pat Quinn (all the way from Northern Ireland!)  played the Bodhran Drum, sang an Irish song… (more…)

Chestico Days Step Dancing Festival

The 26th annual Chestico Days Step Dancing Festival was held on Saturday, August 1st in Port Hood.  The emcee for the event was Bob MacEachern and music was supplied by Kinnon and Betty Beaton.  A number of our young dancers and musicians displayed their talent to an appreciative audience.
