Bruce Beaton Induction Night
On Saturday, Novmber 7th Port Hood’s Bruce Beaton was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame. The awards ceremony was held in Halifax in the Grand Ballroom of the World Trade and Convention Centre. Storytellers Circle West
On Tuesday, October 13th the Chestico Museum hosted Storytellers Circle West at the museum. The event was part of Celtic Colours Cultural Experiences series. A large crowd was on hand and a trio of talented storytellers provided an excellent afternoon of entertainment. Chestico Tartan Blanket Winner!
The winner of the Chestico Tartan Blanket was drawn at the Historical Society’s regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 21. Our treasuer, Diana Hawley made the draw and this year’s lucky winner was Lorraine MacDonald of Port Hood. Lorraine is a member of the Historical Society and was thrilled to receive the blanket!
