August 7, 2014 Ceilidh

The fifth ceilidh of the Chestico Museum’s 2014 summer ceilidh series was held on August 7th. Shelly Campbell was our guest fiddler this week and she was accompanied by Amanda MacDougall on piano. Next Ceilidh: August 7, 2014

The next ceilidh in our 2014 summer ceilidh series will be Thursday, August 7th at 7 PM at the museum. This week we will feature: Shelly Campbell – Fiddle Amanda MacDougall – Piano Barbara Cameron – Guitar & Vocals Siobhan Beaton – Dance Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Next Event: Slideshow on Father Donald MacPherson

As part of Chestico Days, the Chestico Museum will present a narrated slideshow that will examine the life and times of Father Donald MacPherson. Father MacPherson was a Chaplain with the Canadian Army during World War I and later served as parish priest in Port Hood for just over 37 years. July 24, 2014 Ceilidh

The fourth ceilidh of the Chestico Museum’s 2014 summer ceilidh series was held on July 24th and we had a great crowd in attendance. Our fiddler for the evening was Stephanie MacDonald and she was accompanied by Cathy Hawley. They certainly had everyone tapping their toes with a great selection of tunes!
