First Ceilidh of 2014!

The first ceilidh of our 2014 summer ceilidh series will be Thursday, July 3rd at 7 PM at the museum. Chestico Museum Publishes Book!

The Chestico Museum has published Safe Harbour: A Brief History of Port Hood, Nova Scotia. The book is an 80 page richly illustrated history of the village/town of Port Hood from its establishment to the present day. Chestico Museum Giant Yard Sale

The Chestico Museum will hold its annual Yard Sale on Saturday, July 12th in Port Hood at the Al MacInnis Sports Centre. This will occur during the Port Hood Lobster Picnic. If you wish to donate items, please call John Gillies 787-3441 or Colleen Macleod 787-2251. Items may be stored in advance of the sale, in John Gillies’ barn.

Student Employment Opportunity

The Chestico Museum is currently accepting applications for a summer student for the 2014 season. The position is open to students who have been accepted at a post-secondary institution for full-time study beginning in September 2014.
