August 14, 2014 Ceilidh

The sixth ceilidh of the Chestico Museum’s 2014 summer ceilidh series was held on August 14th and we had a really good crowd in attendance! We were pleased to have the talented Kyle MacDonald as our fiddler for the evening. Many people remembered Kyle from his excellent performance at this year’s Chestico Days Step Dancing Festival. The fifth ceilidh of the Chestico Museum’s 2014 summer ceilidh series was held on August 7th. Shelly Campbell was our guest fiddler this week and she was accompanied by Amanda MacDougall on piano. Next Event: Slideshow on Father Donald MacPherson

As part of Chestico Days, the Chestico Museum will present a narrated slideshow that will examine the life and times of Father Donald MacPherson. Father MacPherson was a Chaplain with the Canadian Army during World War I and later served as parish priest in Port Hood for just over 37 years.
