The 2020 Chestico Days will go silent this year – Cancelled.
Chestico Days Summer Festival has been celebrating the bonds of community spirit and friendship since 1978.
The organizing committee said the decision was made as a result of public health and safety issues around COVID-19 and with guidance from public health authorities.
Committee chair, Lynn Chisholm, called the decision “unprecedented” in the 42-year history of the festival. “It’s a significant event in our community and families look at Chestico Days as a come home week to meet old friends and attend favourite activities.”
Organizers assure the public that Chestico Days will be back in 2021 with many of the regular popular events along with some new additions as well, including a “Tiki Beach Night” to look forward to. Aloha!!
