The Chestico Museum’s 2013 summer ceilidh series kicked off on July 4th! We had a good sized crowd on hand and they were treated to a fine show.
Maggie Beaton was our fiddler and she was accompanied by Cathy Hawley on piano – lots of great tunes!
We were fortunate to have had 3 very talented vocalists with us – KC Beaton provided some lovely Gaelic singing, Marie Aucoin treated us to beautiful renditions of Cape Breton and Irish songs and Bill MacDonald brought along some old favourites. His rousing rendition of “Farewell to Nova Scotia” had everyone singing along to end the show.
It was a great start to another summer of ceilidhs at the Chestico Museum!
