The fifth ceilidh of the Chestico Museum’s 2012 summer ceilidh series was held on August 16th.
Our fiddler was Kenneth Mackenzie from Mabou and he was accompanied by Tyson Chen, also from Mabou. Kenneth and Tyson played wonderfully well together and Tyson even gave us a few tunes by himself.
Kenneth is part of Celtic Colours this year and will be part of the Roots to the Future show in Big Pond.
Hughie John Beaton was on hand with his guitar and sang some old favourites. This was his second appearance at the museum this year and it is always a pleasure to have him with us!
We even had an impromptu step dance performance by Sandra Chisholm. It was spur of the moment and she did a great job!
