The third ceilidh of the Chestico Museum’s 2012 summer ceilidh series was held on July 26th and we had a big crowd in attendance!
We had two fiddlers for the night. Mary Elizabeth MacInnis started us off with the help of Harvey Beaton on piano. Harvey very graciously helped us out as Betty Beaton was a bit late due to a traffic tie up on Route 19.
Betty arrived with our second fiddler, Mckayla MacNeil. Mckayla is a very talented young fiddler from St. Peter’s. I know we’ll be hearing a lot more from her in the future!
Mckayla, Harvey and Betty are all performing at Celtic Colours this year. Remember, it’s never too early to get your tickets!
We were fortunate to also have two talented singers with us. Hughie John Beaton sang some old favourites and Taylor MacInnis treated us to some newer selections. Taylor also gave us a few steps. It’s amazing how much local talent we have in the area!
