The seventh and final ceilidh of the our 2010 summer ceilidh series took place at the museum on August 26th. This special two hour ceilidh certainly was a night to remember!
We had a great group in attendance and they were treated to two fine fiddlers in Dara Smith and Kolten MacDonell. Adam Young on piano and Marcellin Chiasson on guitar did an incredible job accompanying them.
The multi talented Pius MacIsaac was also present and did a fantastic job on guitar and mandolin.
Our singers for the evening were Hughie John Beaton and Lynn Chisholm. Their renditions of old favourites had everyone singing along!
And last but not least, we had Gussie MacLellan who did a great job stepdancing. He also inspired Dara and Kolten to give us a few steps!
Everyone was more than pleased with our performers and we thank them and all who donated their time and talents to our Thursday ceilidhs.
Special thanks as well to our summer student, Marina MacIntyre, who did all the organization for each event – she does an incredible job!
Our Facebook page has and album of photos from last night. Check it out here.
You can also view a short clip of Lynn singing “Working Man” on Youtube. Enjoy!
