The 7th ceilidh of the Chestico Museum’s 2014 summer ceilidh series was held on August 21st. The evening was dedicated to the memory of renowned Cape Breton fiddler Buddy MacMaster who passed away on August 20th. Dara (Smith) MacDonald was our fiddler. The seventh and final ceilidh of the our 2010 summer ceilidh series took place at the museum on August 26th. This special two hour ceilidh certainly was a night to remember! The Chestico Museum’s 2010 summer ceilidh series got off to a rousing start on July 8th! We had a great line up of talent with Dara Smith on fiddle, accompanied by Marcellin Chiasson on guitar and mandolin and Lynn Chisholm on guitar and vocals.
