Chestico Place

The fifth ceilidh of the Chestico Museum’s 2011 summer ceilidh series was held on August 11th.

This week we welcomed Mike Hall as our guest fiddler. He was accompanied by Cathy Hawley. They were certainly enjoyed by all. Remember, if you would like a copy of Mike’s cd, it is available in our Gift Shop.

Also entertaining were Leah Gillies on piano and we had two members of the Boys from the Hood – Edgar Cormier and Gerard Walker. Edgar and Gerard sang a number of local favourites!

Boys from the Hood – Guitar & Vocals

Leah Gillies – Piano

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Tea and light refreshments will be served following the show.

The third ceilidh in the Chestico Museum 2010 summer ceilidh series took place on July 22nd. Our entertainment for the evening were Maggie Beaton who is a very talented young fiddler, Mary Graham who played our newly tuned piano, Leah Gillies who treated us to a selection of piano tunes and Stanley MacNeil who gave us some great harmonica playing!

Unfortunately, Jeannie Beks had to cancel but Mary brought her son Glenn Graham to help us out!

We had a good crowd in attendance who certainly enjoyed the evening!
