The second ceilidh in our summer ceilidh series will be Thursday, July 15th at 7 PM at the museum in Port Hood.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Tea and light refreshments will be served following the show.

The Chestico Museum’s 2010 summer ceilidh series got off to a rousing start on July 8th! We had a great line up of talent with Dara Smith on fiddle, accompanied by Marcellin Chiasson on guitar and mandolin and Lynn Chisholm on guitar and vocals. This talented group also came together for a few numbers!
We had an appreciative audience on hand that included a lady from Texas and a couple from Pennsylvania. The fiddle had everyone’s toes tapping and most were singing along with the many old favourites Lynn performed so well.

The Chestico Museum 2011 calendars are now available at the museum. This year, our calendar features men and women from the Chestico area who enlisted in World War I. The three WWI war brides who married Port Hood men are also included.
The calendars cost $12 each and can be purchased at the museum.
