The third ceilidh in the Chestico Museum 2010 summer ceilidh series took place on July 22nd. Our entertainment for the evening were Maggie Beaton who is a very talented young fiddler, Mary Graham who played our newly tuned piano, Leah Gillies who treated us to a selection of piano tunes and Stanley MacNeil who gave us some great harmonica playing! The second ceilidh in the Chestico Museum 2010 summer ceilidh series took place on July 15th. Our guests were treated to an incredible night of singing courtesy of the talented Marie Aucoin and Bill MacDonald. They have a wonderful repertoire of Cape Breton, Irish and Scottish songs and Bill had a couple of funny stories that kept us all stitches!… (more…)

July 8th, 2010 Ceilidh
The Chestico Museum’s 2010 summer ceilidh series got off to a rousing start on July 8th! We had a great line up of talent with Dara Smith on fiddle, accompanied by Marcellin Chiasson on guitar and mandolin and Lynn Chisholm on guitar and vocals.
